What this server keeps

Cookies

Reading these pages sets no cookie. There is no advertising cookie and no third-party analytics cookie.

Signing in to the workshop sets one cookie, portanima_workshop. It is HttpOnly, SameSite Lax, and it expires after twelve hours. It only keeps that workshop open.

The note at the bottom of the page remembers itself in this browser under the local storage key portanima.cookie.seen. That value stays on your machine.

Page hits

A page hit stores the path, the UTC day, the host of the referrer, and a short hash of the address plus the day plus a server secret. The address itself is not written down. Query strings are not stored.

Hits for the workshop, for files, and for known crawlers are skipped. Nothing is sent to another analytics service.

Asking for a deletion

Write to john@mcgrinsey.com if a hit line or the workshop session should go. Signing out deletes the workshop cookie in that browser.

Datenschutz
